In advance of our trip around the world, it was time for Finn to learn to ride a bicycle. Because we live in the hills, he’s never really gotten a chance to learn. But on a Sunday afternoon in May 2012, something clicked and he began to roll. Once you learn, you never forget.
A FINN FLASHBACK! Being that he’s less than a decade old, we don’t have to go back too far to reach into Finn’s distant past. By example, my “flashback” could extend backwards to the invention of television, the first electric typewriter and root beer floats at the soda shoppe!
And yet, in spite of all those decades that have passed by me, I still remember the proud day when I learned to ride my first two-wheeler. How did Finn and I do it? Along with all those other kids who had the courage to pedal forward?
I can think of only one explanation: Magic!
